I write like
Oscar Wilde

I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

AHAHAHA!

This was the first result I got, feeding the first few paragraphs of my old fanfic Monkey Business into the thingy. But apparently, when I write fiction, I sound mostly like H.P. Lovecraft. I've never read any Lovecraft, so I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad :).

Hmm. I pasted in one random paragraph from my Eunice story and this is what I got:

I write like
James Joyce

I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

**shrugs** :-D

LOL - I'm a little bit shocked... I mean, of course I think you deserve that kind of literary and artistic appreciation, but... You write much better! XD

Ha! Well done!

It thinks I write like Bram Stoker, which is a little unexpected.

O dear. Do you write about vampires a lot? ;)

(If you have the word 'wizard' in your text, you write like J.K. Rowling, is what I found, so...)

Ha, no, that was for my LJ. Not a lot of vampires in there. :-)

Well, if that isn't fitting. :)

Sounds like fun. I'll need to give it a try.

Well, I only got Wilde the once... And now I'm wondering what the difference between Wilde and Lovecraft is (I got Lovecraft a lot). What's your result?

I've never read anything by Lovecraft and have read Wilde's plays only, never his prose work.

Oh dear, Lovecraft is one of those writers the phrase "purple prose" was invented for. Make of that what you wish.

H! Makes perfect sense. Wilde wrote purple prose too! Love it :D...
