Gawain comic: update
Thursday, 28 August 2014 08:50 pmHello my dear, neglected readers! I'm typing this on my tablet, which is far from ideal, but explains a lot. You see, I am experiencing internet problems again. Somehow, from one moment to the next, my computer stopped recognising the ethernet cable, or so it claimed. I have run several tests and neither the computer, the NIC nor the cable is at fault. The problem must lie somewhere between my cable and the modem. It is not a situation I can solve myself; I need the electrician to come and have a look as our home network is rather a complex affair.
Is there no other way to get on the internet? Well yes: I'm using the wireless connection on my tablet and there are two other computers in the house. However, the only device over which I have full control is my tablet, which doesn't have a usb connection and via which I consequently cannot upload images. Also, I can't seem to work this tablet the way I work a keyboard. I really miss the ctrl key -_-. Selecting, copying and pasting are beyond me on this thing :(.
But there are the other computers. The only trouble with those is that a) they don't have my programmes and b) I can't use them when it suits me, but must use them when it suits their owners. In short, posting is not impossible, exactly - it has just become hard to plan. Schedule => erratic. I'm looking into getting a usb wireless thingy so as to get my computer on the wifi connection, because if I have to wait for the electrician, I'll probably have moved into my flat before he shows up o_O.
There is one other thing I have to mention:
As of next week, my illustration classes are starting. This year is serious, with 8+ hours a week of courses. Concretely, this means I will be at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm until 10.10 pm. And that means there is no way I will be able to post comic updates on Thursdays. In fact, it is even doubtful that I will be able to eat dinner on Thursdays, *sigh*, I still haven't found a solution to that problem either...
Anyway: I don't want to give up on the idea of weekly updates just yet, but it is clear that they will have to move to another evening. How about if we try Sundays or Mondays? Do you have a preference for one of either?
So, apologies for the unpredictable schedule we will be having in the near future... I will post the next page as soon as I can. But what with school and my flat, the road ahead looks a little bit bumpy. Thank you for bearing with me while I try to sort things out!
